The Brownstone Diner & Pancake Factory (Jersey City, NJ) – $15

Hello, world.  This is Matt’s less witty and less awesome camera owning counterpart.  I was going to steal his new Casio Exilim S-10, you know, in the name of this blog, but I figured he’d make better use of it over in Korea.  I’ll be blogging what I eat for the week so he can concentrate on being Korean without this ball log thingy going stale.  Because nobody likes a stale blog or stale Bon Chon.  Or sentence fragments.  Here are the rules while he is gone:

  1. Everything I eat will not affect his food money counter total thingy over there —->
  2. Since I’m only here a week, I’m going to try to eat more interesting crap.
  3. There will be more lists of crap.
  4. There will be more use of the word crap.
  5. You have to leave a comment or else I will go to your site and berate you (I’m much meaner than Matt).

My first entry is about a diner because I’m from New Jersey and that’s all we’re known for.  Diners, Bon Jovi, and Jersey girls.  This one was on the Food Network with that tool Guy Fieri who does the TGI Friday’s commercials and the “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” show.  What’s your favorite thing to order at diners? When I was in high school it was the combo platter (fries + chicken fingers + mozz sticks), but nowadays its eggs benedict.

Helpful signs to useful locations that all have a lot of crap.

Original Pancake Wrap from The Brownstone Diner

The original pancake wrap – a pancake stuffed with scrambled eggs, bacon and american cheese

Condom Mints

The condom mints that I used – syrup for the pancake part, ketchup and Frank’s RedHot for the eggs part
