I think that I left work around 8ish on Tuesday night and by that time I was feeling both hungry and lazy. Even though I just had it over the weekend, the cold weather made me want soon dubu. Since I recently had the soon dubu at the So Kong Dong in Pal Park, I decided that I should pick some up at Fort Lee for a little comparison. Here’s what I determined:
- The So Kong Dong in Fort Lee apparently jacked up their prices too. $9 at both restaurants. Even though that’s still relatively cheap for dinner, you can find soon dubu for less at a lot of other Korean restaurants in the area if you really wanted.
- The quality of the food at the So Kong Dong at Fort Lee has steadily been degrading to the point of mediocrity. In fact, the banchan that I had on Tuesday night tasted pretty subpar; granted it just might be because I took it home though.
- Between the two So Kong Dongs (Young says that they’re owned by two brothers), I’d say that the one in Palisades Park tastes better these days. So if you’re ever looking for me on a cold night, that’s probably a good place to start.

I have the same keyboard. Quelle coincidence!
Hum, I want some regardless.
I love those cucumbers.
How do you expect to type with your keyboard unplugged?
Is korean food your favorite? I like soon dubu with a raw egg cracked on top.
Not a fair comparison, it tastes much different when you get it to go.
Looks like good eats to me Matt!
Wow I can’t tell u how much that picture makes me crave korean food. muhahaha
OH and bubble tea isn’t to 1990’s!! how is that possible? you gotta go to the hip asian joints where they serve funky flavors NOT in smoothie form!!!
