It’s true, I cooked last night. Not only that, I totally gutted the recipe for these stuffed peppers, and by gutted the recipe I mean that I made it up on the fly as I was walking through the grocery store and while figuring out how to “bake.” Before I blow all of your minds with my delicious stuffed peppers recipe, however, I have two quick things that need to be taken care of.
First, has everyone who wants to win the Harry & David basket entered the contest?
As I mentioned in my last post, winning this Tower of Treats Gourmet Gift basket is easy. You have to do two things. First, become a fan of this blog on Facebook. Second, write on the iblogwhatieat Facebook fanpage Wall and tell me what your favorite food to eat around the holidays is. I’ll pick a winner at 6pm tomorrow and let you know.
The other necessity that I need to take care of before walking you through my recipe picture-book is a quick iblog roundup. Here we go…
My friend Weffen over at I Blog What I Buy has been a busy guy and has written three new posts since we last checked in:
- Regal Union Square Stadium 14 Avatar 3D Movie Review – Weffen reviews Avatar in 3D.
- Barack Obama For Sale, Used Condition. Also a 99 Cent Bran Muffin Review in there somewhere. – Bran muffins… Just the blog post title is enough to turn me off.
- Hell’s Kitchen Big Apple Meat Market $3 Dollar Meatball Hero Review – Weffen blogs about an unappealing meatball sandwich. At least it’s cheap…
Not to be out-done, Steve over at I Blog What I Hear has written three new posts as well:
- Beatles Ukulele Tribute @ Brooklyn Bowl - a ukulele tribute without a ukulele
- Dan Bern @ Naked Soul at The Rubin Museum Of Art - Steve’s heart is broken
- Best Music Stores In New York: Take 1 – longest review of music stores in NYC I’ve ever seen
Now that we got all that out of the way, let’s get cookin’…

How can you be so sure that these are the BEST stuffed peppers? (I’ll admit, they do look tasty.)
It sounded good, until you threw in the salsa. Ick.
It’s like I don’t even know you anymore… but I would like one of those please.
Really Matt, next thing you know you’ll be roasting chestnuts on an open fire. I am thoroughly impressed with your cooking skills, though I would cook the peppers a little longer, you gotta get some burnt color up in there.
that chicken looks like throw up
@Mica – they are the best. come to nyc, and i will show you.
@rochelle – i thought it’d be too dry without the salsa
@paul – you can come over with mica, and i’ll make them for the both of you.
@steve – they were a bit burnt on the sides touching the pan.
@eric – you gotta kill a cow to make a peter luger steak
