Paul and I are very fond of steakhouses and have been waiting patiently for the right time to check out Quinta Steakhouse in Pearl River, NY. Well, this past Friday the 13th seemed like an excellent day for steak. We arrived at Quinta Steakhouse in Pearl River, NY around 12:30, and it was surprisingly empty for a Friday afternoon. The seats were mostly full when we left though; I guess the people of Pearl River, NY eat late.
Anyway, this place was good all around. First off, the service there was excellent. I swear the guy filled my water glass about 10 separate times. A+. They have a $10 Prix Fixe Lunch that includes soup or salad, an entree, and coffee, which obviously makes the price of lunch terrific as well. The food itself… was delicious. The soup was mehhh, but the bread they give you to dip in it was a-mazing. My entree, Paella Valenciana, was actually too much food for me to finish and cooked quite perfectly. I wish they put more chicken and roasted red peppers in it though, those things were addictingly good.
In regards to the facebook contest… I realized this morning that I had no idea how I was planning on randomly picking a winner. I ended up just shoving everyone’s name into a Numbers spreadsheet and then Googling ‘Random Number Generator.’ Random.org picked Andrea Kim as the winner, so Andrea, please e-mail or facebook me your address so I can send you this thing.

freaking delicious looking paella!
shredding is The 30 Day Shred by Jillian Micheals- She is the personal trainer of The Biggest Loser TV Show and that is her DVD to get you in tip top shape in 30 days with 20 minute workouts. A bunch of us decided to do this challenge for 30 days and see how buff and AWESOME we turn out. So that is what I refer to when I say shredding!
Wow, the panini at Panera was $9… it is not that expensive here!
Hope you had a good weekend!
since youre always so far behind, i think you should start posting the actual date of your meals instead of just having the date you posted it.
that paella looks awesome!!
OMG did i really win??? im so late… sorry oppa >_<
Sorry to detract from the “make-you-feel-good” comments you got going on here, but that Paella looks horrendous. But then again, not sure you could ask for more at $10 a pop. $3 box of saffron rice, $2 bag of mixed frozen veggies, and the on-sale chicken legs/thighs at $1.49/lbs and pretty sure that’s what you end up with.
I might be able to make a more authentic paella in a plastic container and a microwave.
oo man jillian michaels kicks my butt on numerous occassions
